Fingerprint Background Checks For All Employees
Every employee of Shred Right goes through an extensive fingerprint background check by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. While above and beyond the standard in the industry, this level of security is added peace of mind for our clients.
Social Security
Trace
A third-party verification firm reviews the historical and local
connection between the applicant and his or her social security
number. The check includes:
- History of use
- Logical tables and death
indices
- Verification of year and
state of issuance
If the check reveals use
of multiple social security numbers or known aliases, then
the firm searches county and federal criminal records using
those aliases.
Federal
Criminal Records Review
A third-party verification firm searches records at the highest
federal court in the district. The search includes:All districts
of residence, employment and school attendance in the previous
seven years. All felony convictions, misdemeanor convictions
and related activity on record are reported, including open
arrest warrants, cases awaiting trial and charges for failure
to appear.
County
Criminal Records Review
A third-party verification firm searches the highest court
records in each county in which the individual has lived during
the past seven years. All felony convictions, misdemeanor
convictions and related activity on record are reported, including
open arrest warrants, cases awaiting trial and charges for
failure to appear.
Motor
Vehicle Records Check
For drivers only, our insurance carrier searches the Minnesota
Department of Motor Vehicles records to validate the driver's
license, status and expiration date. Accident and violations
on the record are also reported.
Pre-Employment
Drug Screening
All potential employees
participate in a pre-employment drug screening conducted by
the Minnesota Department of Occupational Health.
